My Year 2012 in numbers.
2 weddings attended (1 of which my own).
1 funeral attended (0 of which my own).
1 job I quit.
6 years having worked in said job.
0 regrets on leaving said job.
4 countries visited.
1 continent visited.
99.4 kilos my 52-week-high weight.
92.7 kilos my 52-week-low weight (both recorded unforgivingly via my Withings scale).
5.2 kilometers my furthest run in 15 years (filed under “things equally great and sad at the same time”).
35 years I’ve spent on this earth. An excellent opportunity for my favorite Douglas Adams quote:
“Rule 1: Anything that is in the world when you are born is normal and ordinary and just part of the way the world exists and works.
Rule 2: Anything that is invented between when you are 15 and 35 is new and exciting and revolutionary and world changing, and you can probably get a career in it.
Rule 3: Anything that is invented after you are 35 is against the natural order of things.”
-- Douglas Adams
x days (forgot to count them) without eating any meat. The only “self improvement” thingy that I that I managed to stick with. It is basically my own watered-down version of the already not terribly challenging idea of the week-day vegetarian.
Basically I try to make an effort not to mindlessly stuff dead animals in my face all the time. Just some of the time.
Still surprisingly difficult to do in the land of the sausage.comments powered by Disqus
